I studied classical piano at the Venice Conservatory of Music (Italy), graduating with honors, and soon after began musicological work at the Manuel de Falla Archive in Granada (Spain), restoring a score by the Spanish composer. At the same time, I explored jazz improvisation, classical composition, and other instruments, including North-African percussions, which led me to pursue a Master’s degree in ethnomusicology at Bologna University (Italy) and conduct ethnographic research in Morocco.
Over the years, I have built a career as a performer, composer, arranger, and teacher, performing in the jazz and experimental music scenes and teaching piano, music theory, and improvisation.
I am now based in Montréal, where I came to pursue a Ph.D. in Jazz Studies and Composition. It is here that my career as a media composer began, and I continue to create scores and sound design for film and video games. I also teach film scoring and the fundamentals of game audio, sharing creative and technical practices with the next generation while continuing to perform and compose across live and media projects.
