In Arcano veneziano, Serge Turgeon leads a metaphorical journey through the shadows of Venice, exploring the thin veil between legend and reality. When he invited me to compose the score, I sought to capture the dual nature of the city: its timeless, elegant history and the chilling atmosphere of the film. The music blends a traditional orchestral foundation with modern, unsettling textures, grounding the listener in the classical beauty of the canals before slowly pulling them into the unknown. Beneath the orchestra, dark low-frequency synths evoke the presence that haunts the city: a sonic shadow carrying the weight of a mystery that has been waiting in the dark for a century.
