MUSICAL STORYTELLING

As a film composer, I move fluidly across genres and sound worlds: from orchestral and chamber writing to synth-based textures, and from classical, jazz, and world influences to ambient and atmospheric soundscapes. My goal is always to create music that becomes an active narrative voice, shaping mood, pacing, and emotional depth.
I have composed for a range of formats, including feature films, documentaries, shorts, and animation. Collaboration is at the heart of my process: I work closely with directors, producers, and sound teams to ensure that the score integrates seamlessly into the storytelling, while also carrying a distinctive and personal sonic signature.

This improvised performance was awarded the prize for best soundtrack at the Bologna International Film Festival Il Cinema Ritrovato 2018 (Cinque concerti per film silenziosi in luoghi inattesi). The performance features Alessandro Garino (Piano and Objects), Filippo Orefice (Clarinet and Tenor Saxophone) and Federico Gueci (Doublebass).
