Garrincha Flying Swing existed only in 2017, a short-lived project I brought together: Alessandro Garino, piano/Rhodes; Piero Bittolo Bon, alto sax/synth; Francesco Guerri, cello; Riccardo Morandini, baritone guitar; Andrea Grillini, drums.

The band played original compositions from every one of its members, each bringing their own voice into a shared language rooted in free improvisation. The track featured in the video above is "Interferences," a piece of mine inspired by John Zorn's Naked City.
