JORDI AND OSLO: THE LOST TAIL
A video game by Joveguille - coming in 2027
Jordi & Oslo: The Lost Tail is a humorous point-and-click adventure by solo developer Guillem Ruiz, aka JoveGuille — cartoonist, 2D animator, and author of the Jordi and Oslo comic strips. Rooted in the old-school charm of the LucasArts classics, the game is entirely hand-drawn and hand-animated in JoveGuille's unmistakable style, bringing his watercolor world and its characters, steeped in Catalan folklore, to life. When Oslo the Dragon goes missing, Jordi and Sígrid set out to unravel the mystery behind their friend's disappearance.
On this project, releasing in 2027, I serve as composer and audio lead, working alongside sound designers László Nemes and Tamás Bohács. For the score, I drew on the Caribbean rhythms of classics like Monkey Island — rhythms that have long been part of my own path as a pianist — while giving each location and character its own musical identity, ranging from blues to reggae, from cumbia to Balkan colors. The soundtrack features recorded performances by Salomé Perli on violin, László Nemes on zither, Marie Elian Dubois on flute, and Gordon Giang on cello.
The game's main theme, "Up on the Roof", is featured on the vinyl released by Black Screen Records for the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom 2026.
