UNE NUIT DEBOUT

A short film by Julie-Ann Déry - 2025

In Une nuit debout, Julie-Ann Déry turns inward: an autobiographical journey through insomnia, unfolding in a dreamlike world where her own body slowly comes apart. For this film, I created the entire soundscape. Julie-Ann and I recorded the foley together, then captured her voice; the score itself lives as scattered musical fragments, bound into a whole by elaborate sound design and sonic textures. The film has traveled to numerous international animation festivals, including the prestigious Annecy and Ottawa.
